Swiss firm Barix have been producing innovative technology for over 10 years now from their headquarters by the lake in Zurich, Switzerland. As well as having 'standard' firmwares for specific functions (intercom, background music playback, PA, environment control...), every Barix device is freely programmable, allowing users to take advantage of the award winning hardware to build solutions tailored to their individual needs. This is done using BCL:
The Barix Control Language (further referred to as BCL) is a high level, interpreted control language, used to program certain Barix devices (further referred to as BCL devices). The aim of BCL is to allow system integrators, OEM developers and skilled end users to customize Barix BCL devices to a very high degree by using essentially the syntax of the well-known BASIC language. It has built-in support for various input/output interfaces and for various network protocols.
BCL is very easy to learn and allows instant results for most people experienced in a higher level programming language.
This website allows developers of BCL applications to share their work with others, by making it available here:
1. Register as a user
2. When you have your ID, Post your project to the site
3. Barix will approve the upload - this is purely to stop inappropriate uploads and does not imply that Barix have tested, or approve the application. Users download at their own risk, Barix accept no liability for damages resulting from use of files downloaded from this site.
